Our center has three Preschooler child care rooms. Each room encourages spiritual, physical, emotional and cognitive growth through teacher-directed and child-directed classroom activities. Individual rooms offer age appropriate daily schedules and build on developing communication, relational and academic skills. Typically, transitioning into the Preschooler rooms is at the age of three. It is expected that children entering the Preschooler rooms are using the toilet independently. Children in these three rooms are grouped based on birth dates with an attempt to keep an equal distribution of students in these three rooms. The three Preschooler rooms use the One in Christ Curriculum, a Christ-centered curriculum plan with spiritual growth at the core. Daily activities in each classroom may include: devotions and prayers, circle time, Jesus time, music, literacy activities, learning center options with math, science and social skill emphasis, playtime, arts and crafts, gym time, outdoor play, lunch, snack time and naptime. Teachers encourage a child’s self-help skills by reinforcing manners, independent dressing, good hygiene, proper communication and listening skills along with many other things. The staff is dedicated to maintaining positive and daily communication with families to strengthen child care and family relationships in support of each child.
