The Young Toddler rooms have children between the ages of one and two years. This room influences a variety of developmental skills including: communication skills (verbal and nonverbal), fine motor skills (coloring, picking up items, eye-hand coordination), gross motor skills (walking, climbing) and sensory exploration. The classrooms use the One in Christ Curriculum providing for a variety of activities and learning throughout the day. The Young Toddler rooms operate on a daily schedule giving the students a sense of security and familiarity. Daily schedules may include: circle time, songs and stories, Jesus time, art projects, devotions and prayers, group activities, outdoor or gym time, music and movement, nap time, play time and snack and lunch time. The loving and nurturing atmosphere in these classrooms really encourages growth of developmental skills necessary at this age.
